It is understood the investigation will look into the risks posed by data breaches and the security measures and practices used by project developers.
Key points:- The Federal Intelligence Agency (FIA) is conducting the investigation into Big Datas projects.
Key Points: The investigation is being conducted by the Australian Federal Police and the Department of Justice, and involves the Federal Bureau Of Investigation (FBI) and Department Of Justice.
The investigation will also examine the safety and security of the companies that host and operate Big Data systems.
The Department of Homeland Security and the Australian Border Force are also conducting the inquiry, the ABC understands.
